I'm sorry if this question has been asked in the past but I'm clueless on this one, have searched online and could you some help.

First of all, I'm trying to convert my copy of Baldur's Gate over to Tutu. Here's the problem:

My copy of the game is BALDUR'S GATE ORIGINAL SAGA w/ TALES OF THE SWORD COAST. On my old computer with XP installed, I was only able to do a minimum install to play it, therefore I could never convert it over to Tutu.

I'm now using Vista. My question:

Is it possible to successfully do a full install of this version of the game on Vista and convert it over to Tutu? If it's not as simple as that, could someone give me some suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

I used to have Vista on my old pc, but I had quite a few problems with it. The major one was all of a sudden not being allowed to delete files and overwrite them. I still don't know what caused the problem, except that Vista sucks. In any case, this also broke WeiDu, so I couldn't install any mods.

But as long as BGII runs on your pc, Tutu should as well. I do recommend using EasyTutu, but I guess that's a given these days.

The BGI experience is still my favourite of the series, combine it with the BGII engine and you have a perfect game.

    Good luck.

Thanks guys, just to get this straight, the BALDUR'S GATE ORIGINAL SAGA w/ TALES OF THE SWORD COAST version should full install on Vista? I could only do a minimum install on XP.

yeah I tried that on XP, selected several different options and none worked. The only way I could install it was with a minimum install and as you know, Tutu isn't compatible that way.

The BGI installer doesn't recognize modern hard-disc drives, so it will always say your drive is too small if you want to do a full install. If you get that message, just install it anyway, it should work like a charm.

That's not the problem I encountered, the installation would not complete. I think I remember it getting stuck at like 76% complete and then it crashes.
