    I love Baldur's gate 1 and 2, and I thought they were the best games ever, then I found that I love WoW, just in a different way. My question to you who have played this, does it play like WoW or the BG series? I don't want to spend the money if I wont like it, and trust the judgement of my fellow SPers.

    There used to be a trial available. I don't know if that's still the case, but if so, it'd be the best way to see for yourself.

    I've seen the game in a shop for 6€. Should I pick it up? Is there still a community? And is the free month subscription still valid?

    It's still going, but the user base is minute compared to WoW. Might as well give it a shot anyway though.

    It is more like neverwinter nights and nothing like BG.

    When I played it I reached maximum level in like 3 weeks (level 16) beyond which I found too little content to keep on paying for it. I also only played NWN once and never feel like playing it again unlike BG1 + 2.

    Nothing compares to BG.

    Oops, I didnt see how old the posts in the DDO section are, I suppose that the game is dead by now.
