AC or DEX

    Depends on the class of the character and how you use that character.

    For a thief, you want the highest dex armor possible -- skills that rely on dexterity are capped at the maximum dex allowed by the armor. Also, the dex bonus to missile weapons is limited by armor (but I've found limited use of missile weapons, mainly because of limited missile availability). Other than those two, whatever nets you the highest AC is your best bet.

    Old topic revived.:D

    So far I've found a combination of dexterity, wisdom and the shield + armor spells to be most effective. The drawback is, your character needs to have at least 1 level monk and 1 level sorcerer(since shield can only be cast on itself), as well as he needs at least 11 charisma and a decent wisdom value.

    The benefit of course is an armor class of around 30 very early, when you have gained your monk and sorcerer level and maybe the first barrels, but that depends on how you've spent your stats at character creation.

    Thx for the replies people. Game over - dragon dead. Am left w/6 or 7 unused keys & the Waterbells quest incomplete, so guess I'll proceed on that front.

    Looking forward to another replay w/completely different characters. My only regret re this game is that we don't get to wear pointy hats.
