Was just curious as to what everyone's average time spent playing this game to it's conclusion in TOB.

Usually takes me about the better part of a month. What with distractions and work and all. I kinda like that fact. That it is impossible (or near impossible) to finish this game in 6 days.

[IMG] I've played the whole sage in about three days before, including sleeping and eating :xx:

Generally can take me a couple of weeks, sometimes around a month if I play it for distraction purposes.

I play games for my 'thinking time' and being able to go through the whole thing quickly means I can always touch up on anything I've forgotten pretty easily so I don't make any errors in making things for the game.

Haven't played properly in about a year so am going to play the whole of BG2 on Tuesday with as much interjection as possible to confrim what I know and correct what I don't

3 days? Man, either you're pro, or you missed some stuff out. To me that seems a little quick.

[IMG] I'm quite pedantic about doing everything

Would usually be when I was staying round Grandmas for weekends on a regular basis. Now I'm just in the practice of being quick at the game. I still thoroughly enjoy it from beginning to end and am even happy with it unmodded, TuTu I do really like though :D I still watch all the cutscenes, all the movies. It still holds all the charm and enjoyment from when I first played the game six years ago.

I know the feeling, the game just doesn't feel complete if you haven't done every quest possible.

BG1 or BG2 takes me the better part of a week assuming i don't have anything distracting me irl (work, friends, other annoyances ;)) but i have yet to do both without a break (an avid BGT player).

Even after years of play it's still a little demoralising working so hard on a party only to have a third of them die (if i play the expected group) and lose all of their equipment.

[IMG] I was surprised as my first run through of BG I played an Elven Archer with:
    Imoen
    Jaheira
    Khalid
    Minsc
    Dynaheir

Then imported to BG2 when I got it. I was pleasantly surprised :D

Then I imported my evil party and was less impressed

If I'm on vacation, I generally play through SoA in about 4-6 days depending on which NPC's I have with me, and if I do all the quests. Surely there's the "perfect way" to go, but when I do all the minor quests I tend to be running around in quite a few circles.

I've taken a big break now for about 2 years in order to really forget about ToB as well as Watcher's Keep. Me and a mate of mine is enjoying a MP session, going F/M + F/T. So far we've played about five 12 hr sessions and we're just about to smack Bodhi. Not many hours left of SoA. We did the full Spellhold + Underdark + Drizzt in about 10 hrs. Playing evil though so we just went on an unplanned rampage in Ust Natha. Come to think of it, we killed everything in the Underdark, including Aldanon, except the Svirnefblin. Saved some time there.

Don't like ToB that much, SoA is too close to my heart. When you know every fight, every trap, almost every conversation, things go smoothly ;)

Bit boring though, no? When you know absolutely everything and run through the game in auto-pilot mode. That's why I struggle to play these games anymore.

[IMG] I'm pretty lucky in that I just simply don't get bored of games. I think I play more in my head than on the screen though, so every run through is a different experience to me even without any modifications.

I blame the Aspergers for it :D

Aye, I wish that I could forget everything and play my Skald again for the first time. However, I think that BG2 is the ultimate gaming experience, RPG is my favourite genre and I still get the chills when I hear Irenicus' voice. I simply never get tired of it. I've played through SoA with every single class except plain druid, beast master, all the specialist mages except necromancer, plain bard and monk and I still think it's the most entertaining computer game, and it's still amazingly fun every time.

I always seem to find something new though. My friend (who's an addict just like myself) and I found a locker in the laboratory in Spell Hold which neither of us had discovered before. Joy! :)

It's like the movie Casablanca or the original Star Wars trilogy - never gets old.
