Same here, as I despise the rot. But I can do without a lot of the country. It's odd that I can listen to country "influenced music" of The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, James Taylor, etc. But I just can't listen to regular country music - unless it's Johnny Cash. :)

I have about 450 CD's, excluding singles, but including 4 copied albums.
Bands with the highest number of albums are probably Eels and Zita Swoon, followed by Morcheeba and Hooverphonic or so...

Biggest part of all this might be:
    Bristol Scene: TripHop and Drum&Bass.
    Lounge and electro
    Jazz and funk

As for now, I guess I'm mostly interested in Chandos' and the Godless' playlists.

Further calculations have concluded that I have 4952 tracks from 338 different artists and about 260 albums, about 9 of which are movie or game soundtracks and 6 compilations.

I've been thinking about looking into Hooverphonic for a while now, but my procrastinating nature has kinda stalled the whole thing. All I've heard from them so far is the cover they did of the Depeche Mode song "Shake The Disease" which is great.
Which of their albums would you recommend?

Meh... Seems I have only for albums of Hooverphonic, so let's put them out of the list of "Most Albums are from..."

I think I'd go for "(No) More sweet music" and then the versions of CD2: No more sweet music. (CD1 is called More Sweet Music and features the same titles, but I prefer the less sweeter versions)
I also kinda like their album "Blue Wonder Power Milk"

Some might say that "Hooverphonic presents Jackie Cane" is the better one, but IMO "One" is among the few songs I like on that album.

I don't feel much like counting, but it's reasonably small. CDs are expensive and/or hard to get, and downloading takes a lot of time on a pissy 56k connection (and then for some reason I have trouble burning it to CD - never seems to work out). I don't bother ripping to my computer because I prefer the sound quality of my discman, especially seeing that every music playing program I use tends to be pretty horrible or just flat out not work.

I can't be bothered counting...but before I lost my iPod I had about 20 gigs on it.
I have all the Queen CDs sans Hot Space. Don't be fooled: I have an impressiveish collection of rare songs, bootlegs, and DVDs, bringing the total up to about four gigs. There's also a few Beatles (Let It Be x2 + Revolver + Abbey Road + Sgt. Pepper), some Chinese Pop, some classical here and there, Guns 'n Roses, Yngwie Malmsteen, some DLed miscllaneous songs (mostly movie soundtracks, or Jason Mraz)...and a Franz Ferdinand. That's about all I can think of.

I listen to songs through Youtube a lot these days, anyway... :p

Don't be so suprized but most CD (in Poland) are quite expensive. Them being hard to get depends on kind of music. I for example had lots of problems with finding albums I wanted to own. Ordering them from abroad was way to expenive for me so Internet saved my life.

Erm... about 15,000 tracks, give or take. I'm away from my computer right now, but by my estimate that's probably close to 1,500 CDs and 90-100 gigs.
