    @Iku, I don't suspect it is you that keeps calling me to sell "cheap" mobile phones (that come with an expensive subscription), collector's coins, newspaper subscriptions, or anything else that I live quite happily without.

    Of course you might still be a pest, but if so I haven't noticed it yet. ;)

    Yup, wouldn't touch traditional telemarketng with a 10ft pole. Done that though. For a month and a half. When I was 18. My first "job" ever. Felt like selling my soul even if I don't believe in souls as such...

    Telemarketing should be illegal. I hate it. I hate them. I remember my friend worked as one (our friendship went on hiatus while he was doing this job ;) ) and he was selling "family friendly" movies. On his last day he just went wonky and said to a customer (in a really stupid accent that can't be rendered here:

    "Hello Ma'am! I want to sell you a movie about a little horse! Do you like horses?"

    It's funnier if you hear him say it. He figured that he was quitting anyway, so what if they fired him!

    Have you heard the comedian on youtube pranking the telemarketeer? He makes him think he has called a murder scene & is going to be investigated as a suspect. Funny

    There is one good point of summer returning -- I can go sit by the river near where I live. It's one of the best anti-stress I've seen in a long time.

    i guess you don't really learn much about a place by hanging at the terminal til you get a load, then running thru the place. i also happened to spend time in salt lake in 1980.the bars were the strangest thing. you couldn't buy a mixed drink there. you had to bring in your own bottle, buy a mixer, and drink the whole bottle. just buy one mixer. is it still like that? i haven't drank since jan. of 95
