Good day to you all! I recently installed a couple mods and started a playthrough with them. I'm currently in the depths of hell looking to fight Irenicus for my soul, but unfortunately I seem to have hit a dead end.

Among other things, I have the Quest Pack mod installed and more importantly, its Revised Hell Trials component. Or had, to be more precise. I whimsically decided to uninstall it after having several problems with it (namely, a complete freeze after talking to the Pride demon).

Unfortunately, I think this also created a problem. Whenever I put all five Tears of Bhaal into their slots, nothing happens. No rumbling, no fanfare, no cutscene. I get all bonuses attached to their recovery, but the door stays as such as if there was an eye that was not yet closed.

I do not have a save prior to entering Hell (), so this is my query: is there something I can do to keep going forward? A CLUAconsole code, a dialog.tlk workaround, anything? I'd really like to finish this playthrough. :(

    Thanks in advance.

I had exactly the same problem in my current game. There seems to be a conflict between a component from Fixpack ( Additional script fixes) and the Revised Hell Trials - I believe on the G3 Forum they offer a workaround.
Anyway, I got through by deinstalling Revised Hell Trials, getting the Tear of Pride, reinstalling Revised Hell Trials and then clicking at the bottom of the door- I got a message that I didn't have what was necessary to close an eye or open the door, but a second later the door opened and the game continued.

Score one for the Bhaalspawn, so it would seem.

[IMG] Well, thankfully, after a bit of fiddling around (and re-installing messiness), I managed to get it working fairly well. Irenicus actually showed up and gave his last speech before getting pounded to submission by a couple swordslingers. :D

My party is now well up and rumbling the grounds in Saradush... thanks for all the advice! ;)

Anyone know what this workaround is exactly? I'm probably starting a new SCS II game shortly, and want to install the Revised Hell Trials component, so if I need to do something, it would be nice to know what it is beforehand. :)

Hell Trials is the sole remaining issue for Fixpack, and can not be resolved on our end. Workaround is here:

Sim knows about it, so whenever the next QP appears this should be fixed.

Hmm, it appears to be a problem only if the "Additional Script Fixes" component of the fixpack is installed. Since I'm also installing SCS II, would I be safe in assuming that DavidW has already addressed those issues in his mod, and therefore there's no reason to install that component of the Fixpack?

ronin's post is a bit deceptive--this is in the Core Fixes (this is the Rangers and Paladins Not Falling When Taking Evil Path in Hell Trials fix) not the OBC Additional Script Fixes component. In the code, it's in a section commented as 'other script fixes' which is why ronin refers to it as such. This is, unfortunately, noted incorrectly in the readme as well.

I don't believe DavidW includes any of the OBC script changes in SCSII regardless.
