    I had a quick go and my best score was 169ft. Although that was one of the worst hits I had, it just kept hitting stuff to send it further.

    Yeah, I can't figure out what the skateboard does too..

    [edit] Just figured out what it was for.. if you land softly enough, and have a skateboard, you'll ride along for it for a while more, giving you more distance.

    Yeah, I noticed that too later; I very rarely have enough forward momentum when I land to make it useful. Most of the time I crash pretty hard :)

    I've been launched into space a couple of times too; that was interesting. The background goes all black and starry :)

    222, it feels like feet are a lot bigger in this game than in real life - or the hamsters (and skateboards etc) are a lot smaller.
    love the music - even when you screw the launch up and get 0ft they still cheer.

    Well, my best total score is 357ft, but my best individual was 222ft, which suprisngly only ended up at a total of 322ft due to complete idiocy on all the other goes :p

    New record: 940! from a lot of tries, which leads me to the following observations:

    1) Try to get a reasonably flat trajectory. You don't win much distance from shooting the hamster into outer space, and there are fewer items to pick up the higher you go.
    2) The more speed you have, the better you can control your flight.
    3) It pays, for me at least, to launch the hamster on the upstroke, rather than wait until it is coming down. But you risk missing, or screwing up the launch and firing the hamster downwards into the ground.
    4) I ought to get a life, instead of playing silly games. :o ;)

    Ye, but who needs a life when you can get 940ft on Flight of the Hamsters.

    [edit] I think I set a new low record (0ft) by trying suggestion 3 :p
    [edit2]got a new high total score trying to hit on the way up - got 451 (0, 83, 269,99,0)

    I still haven't been able to get over 400. My problem is that I can't keep going horizontal. I keep on getting thrown upwards by the fans, and then it is straight down.

    Edit: I just hit 449 Yay me!

    Managed to get 421 using Montresor's approach (i.e. launch going up). Ironically, it started off badly - I actually sent it down, but not too hard, and it got a good bounce off the ground right into a rocket. It just kept picking stuff up from there. :)

    Actually, this game reminds me of the sasquach/penguin game. Without the blood and decapitations, of course. :p

    The best total I've gotten is 1210. The key is to keep finding the rockets to keep up your horizontal velocity. It's just difficult to know where they'll be and you really don't have much time to react to make sure you hit them.

    Yeah, it was mainly just good luck for me; I had a couple of over 400 foot runs (close to 500ft IIRC) for that total.
