    hehe I like that ;)

As for myself.. no, I don't think I have any addictions or anything that I can't do at least a few days without. I enjoy drinking beer/alcohol though but I certainly wouldn't drink alone or anything.

As a matter of fact, no. It's like drinking a huge can of water, but who doesen't taste like water.

And when I drink it during the evening, it makes me sleepy.

He's also going to have the bone density of a 95 year old woman in the not too distant future if he keeps it up...either that, or kidney stones the size of a golf ball.
That's one of the reasons I cut back. I like the fact that caffeine still has an effect on me when I need to stay awake. And since caffeine is a diuretic, with how much you drink...you must go pee a *lot* throughout the day. :bad: :rolling:

Yeah I got some, mainly cigarettes, coffee and marijuana. I know it isn't good, but meh. I'm a 19 years old student on holiday with so little to do. I still got three freakin' college classes to do before university, I've a crappy minimum wage part time job (I mean I barely get 100$ a week), I'm single and I almost can't spend a day without an argument with my mother or father. So yeah I need the stuff

You know, chev. Next year in University I'll be needed to learn Latin, since I think I'll specialise my bachelor's degree in History on the Roman Empire (or classical antiquity if you prefer). I might provide a way to quelch your teaching addiction :p (NB: I'm half serious, half joking by the way)

Heh, same here. I barely get above minimum wage. Being single I couldn't care less - I have grown to appreciate the perks it offers. Mother and father? Past history.

I actually cut back a little now that I've switched to Jolt - when I was drinking Rockstar, Monster and the sort, it was even worst.

I've decided to cut on the consumption - next week, I'm reducing to three cans, the week after two, the next one only one, then I'll shift back to two 24 oz cans, and eventually back to one.

Don't have much choice but to do it progressively - I shudder to think of the headaches a brutal caffeine withdrawal would bring.

I have controlled addiction. On weekdays, it's the internet but I have long restricted myself to not be online when I'm home and on weekends. And happy to say it was implemented well. Very seldom that I find myself online on weekends and I never had internet connection at home. My other addiction would be backpacking, while I only go out once or twice a month, it seems that whenever I go to the grocery or shopping for clothes or some stuff, I can't seem to shake off the idea that I have to consider if I can use them on my backpacking trips. And probably a fourth of my time on the internet is reading about backpacking gears and tips even though I know I'm never gonna have 85% of those stuffs or most of those tips are not applicable in my region.

@Enags, usually down South of Luzon, like Batangas, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, etc. and on some occasions North of Luzon, like Bataan, Zambales, Benguet, etc.

Nicotine. I quit five years, seven months, thirteen days, four hours and thirty-five minutes ago and I still have the occasional craving. :nolike: I don't dare smoke just one cigarette, even today, because I know I'll be hooked again. I guess this is why ex-smokers sometimes become the most fanatical anti-smokers.

Thanks, Jack! I was wondering if anyone got that. Somehow, I'm not surprised that you did. :)

[IMG] Everyone used to joke I'm addicted to the ineternet. But I've had no working internet for two weeks and I've been absolutely fine, much to my friends horror.

Otherwise my doctor thinks I've developed a physical addiction to opiates where I've been on them so long, nothing serious, just enough to be quite annoying when I come off them and get massive cravings for poppy things and end up eating loads instead :xx: but they're not going to do anything until it actually becomes a problem where I can't come off the meds willingly.

I get minor alcohol cravings but that's probably more because when my friends go out for a drink I can never go with them :p

I don't really get addicted to things, I'm allergic to tobacco, have enough problems with prescribed drugs to want any traffic with others, don't like caffeine drinks and don't seem to get affected by it anyway. Hilarious as I hang around with caffeine junkies at university now, love them so much!

repped you as well, Splunge, is was too appalling to pass by ;)
May be some truth in *that* addiction though, I know I always get lonely easily. Luckily I've never really been alone long. (That just makes me sound slutty though o_0)

    "Appalling" or "appealing"? :p

    But thanks regardless. :D

(Note to anyone who just thought I was being obnoxious - I was playing on lyrics in the Robert Palmer song "Addicted To Love" - 'Might as well face it, you're addicted to love'. Just changed the "you're" to "I'm". I just couldn't resist. So I guess I am obnoxious. :D)

Hmmm....does it mean you're addicted when you have a sudden feeling of being cut off from the world when the Internet goes down? Aaah, my window on the world.

Also, interpreting literature. It lifts me up when I'm down. :p

I'd say so, Uytuun - I feel the same way or even worse, like I'm suddenly lost an intrinsic ability I've come to take for granted; or like I've just had one hand put in a cast and strapped to my torso - I feel so...incomplete. :whoa:

And support to Montresor and anyone else dealing with nicotine addiction - remember that you ALWAYS will be addicted to it and don't so much as quit it forever as 'stop it indefinitely (so far)', and you've gotta stay strong because at some point down the road, that craving may just mug you at the wrong moment... :(

Dropping the first half of my handle for a moment; I feel for you, and you (ANY of you) are NOT alone. (Oh, and you ARE stronger than it; we'll help ya. :D )

Three addictions that I know of - Caffeine (gotta have my dozen or so cups of coffee each day), Nicotine (down to about a pack a day) and love (though I am trying to restrain myself lately, got a new friend of the female persuasion that I ADORE but am trying to talk sense to myself cos she's had a bad trot lately)

I don't know if alcohol would count becasue although I do enjoy a beer or 3 after work I can get by relatively easily without it if I have coffee

This will probably sound somewhat strange but I'm addicted to CSS(Counter-Strike: Source) I get fidgety if I don't play it all day. I've tried to stop playing it several times and then I just get bored...no matter what else I have to do.

Other than that I have a caffeine addiction although its not too bad. Can't go more than a couple days without any without getting massive headaches.

    and the intranet :)
