Well before the final battle I have decided to go get some more wizard and druid spells and more xp. Problem my beloved Ja-ha-ha-ha-ra-ha is only at 13 and I would like to have her own her own stronghold.
How can I increase her xp like fast. I have been trolling around the whole game without going into the final battle. There really isn't anything else to fight around to increase my xp.

    Any hints would be welcome.

    1. Have you done NPC's side quests? If not, there's a lot of xp points there.

    2. Learning spells can also give experience. Drink potions to increase your intelligence and learn as many spells as possible. the higher the level of the spell is the more xp points. Don't worry if you can't cast them yet, cause sooner or later you might be able to. It would be wise to dropped all NPC's in your party so you can have all the xp points.

    3. Get a thief and open locked containers or disarm traps. (I think you have already done most of this)

    4. Being a wizard, your stronghold is the "Sphere" (i forgot the full name) in the Slum Area. You will need Valygar for that.

[IMG] Oh my, I guess I am tring to do the druid quest with the 'grove'. she's also 1/2 fighter.

I thought that if you drank potions they only lasted a while.

    Thanks again.

Most effects of potions are temporary. With regards to what I said earlier, I meant "learning as much spells as you can while the potion effect lasts." BTW, potions effect are stackable, so you can actually have a temporary INT of 25, which increases the number of learnable spells to maximum (iirc).

Doing the druid groove quest is ok. It is one of the side quests. If you are "fighter-mage", your strongholds should either be the "sphere" or "Nalia's Keep", I have never tried having 2 strongholds but a lot of the guys here in SP have done it.

If you have the de'Arnise keep you can not have the Planar Sphere. It woks if you first have the Planar Sphere and the do the de'Arnise keep.

Btw: de'Arnise keep's sidequests bring LOTS of exp for a soloer.

You can learn spells for experience for Edwin, Aerie, Nalia, Imoen, Jan, Haerdalis. That's about six times the amount you'd normally get for one mage. Also Haerdalis comes with NO spells at all, so even that Magic Missile scroll being sold is worth 1000 exp. Just make sure you have enough gold and potions of genius (or just steal them).

    *spoiler*

If you are already out of Underdark, why don't you return there and clear the whole drow city ? It can help a bit :)

If you have a Cleric, Druid or Mage able to cast 'Gate', use it to gate in a pit fiend and kill it for 16000 EXP pts. You may be able to do this for some lesser summon-type spells for lesser amounts of EXP too.
