[IMG] Ok, Apparently, my older version of QuickTime player no longer works, so I went to download version 7 of the software. At this point, I can't find a way to get the latest version without also downloading/installing iTunes too. :bang: I hate when software developers bundle sh*ty software with another program.

I hate iTunes and don't want it on my computer, so...does anyone know of a way to download and install *just* the latest version of QuickTime player without any :bs: attached to it? :rolling:

    I understand your frustration, Kitrax.

I believe I have an old version of QTP without any crap attached to it somewhere that I could send you way.

Just yell loud and clear if you want me to send it to ya.

Failing that, I believe you absolutly have to get that BS iTunes to get QTP.

If you use QTP for videos, a DivX player can do the job very well.

    *EDIT* Forget I said anything.

There's a link on the right a bit more than half way down the QuickTime with iTunes page that says QuickTime Standalone Installer. The url is here

I heartily recommend searching for "QuickTime Alternative" in Google. No fuss, no extras; just the codec for any videoplayer and you're done. The same goes for "Real Alternative."

There's something called the "K-Lite Codec Pack" which is really Real Alternative, Quicktime Alternative, Media Player Classic, and other codecs all thrown together. You get full control over which components you want to install (that's a BIG plus). Between this and VLC I can play every single audio/video format I've come across, which is quite handy.
