Magister, does sound like it's candy or booze for most.
When I was a young teenager I managed to purchase a glow in the dark skull that I used to terrify the neighborhood kids until my mom discovered it and came down on me like a ton of glowing skulls.
Frost this morning so it's feeling more like Halloween. Not sure of forecast for The Day, though.

My girlfriend and I covered the scary movie watching last night (we can't do it on Halloween night, as it is a school night and our teachers think it is scarier to give us homework than to let us have a good time). We watched Carrie, Halloween, Sleepy Hollow, and An American Werewolf in London. We had a great time (all the movies were cheesy :) )

Hmmm...Perhaps I should share an image of my costume. When choosing it, I needed something that wouldn't interfere with getting cups of booze up to my mouth, I wanted something to help keep me cool, and I wanted something funny.

Behold My Ostrich! :shake:

I can't wait to see the looks this baby gets me. :D :rolling:

Normally I would be taking my son trick-or-treating but since I am away I'll be watching horror movies all night.

My plan was to walk around the city dressed up as a vampire (and a truly scary one at that). Think a malkavian and a nosferatu meeting.

But now, it seems like I'll just be sick.

I'll do what I try to do every night... try to take over the world muahahaha. Ok fine, virtual RPG world ;)

I'm not a party-goer, so I'll just sit quietly at home. But the people around me are all planning to party hard, go dancing and drinking, and checking out the sorority girls in their slutty costumes. No plans for me though.

Haha, we got TONS of cans (literally) from Trick or Treating. This is awesome, the food pantry is going to be very pleased.

My final count for this year was only 15 kids of which 6 were a group that come by relatively late and whose costumes fell into the categories of virtually non-existent to actually being non-existent. They were of course older kids who probably had no business being out in the first place.

Sadly that is pretty much what I had expected. My parents on the other hand increased their numbers from around 20 kids last year to 30 kids this year.

Ended up participating in my church's "trunk or treat" (everybody parks in the church lot and sits by car to give out candy) and it was pretty successful - around 60-70 kids, a fair number for our little village.

And I couldn't find my alien antennae to put on :( so I'll have to make new ones next year, I guess.

And I've already been to the hated Wal-Mart and bought half-price stuff for next year.

So, babble on in November. 100 here we come!
