I'm apparently a lackluster veteran, a group with a median age of 40, and I'm only 20. That seems odd to me.

[IMG] I'm another omnivore. Fits quite well, I practically live online, am always texting, always have my mp3 player with me.

My brain will be replaced with a battery quite soon I shall imagine

Connector here, but that plug doesn't fit my socket. ;)

It's right for age, ethnicity and 'online experience' (dipped my toe into teh interweb back in '96 or so) but I'm against the average for gender, "educational attainment" and income.

As for the wordy description, it's pretty accurate (I'm prolly gonna start up a blog before the year is out), and the only reason I don't have a cell phone is because I don't WANT people to be able to get to me wherever I am - the features are plenty cool, and I'm still kinda keeping up to date on it (it's always in the blood, isn't it DotW? :) ) and above all else I LOVE the...well, the resources available to me via my DSL line - knowledge, idiocy, facts and lies, fun and sorrow, etc. etc.

It's like the sidebar of an old Osbourne book about science and the future I had when I was a kid - it had a little blurb about how we would have a central repository of humankind's collective history and knowledge, and we'd be directly 'wired into it'. The illustration had some guy in a greenish THX1138-esque outfit with a wire going from the base of his skull into his shirt, and in the background some kind of orbiting database satellite that looked like a dog-bone or a barbell. :D

Apart from some of the specifics of that 'vision' - in all honesty, we are AT that stage right NOW. Thanks to Google, WikiFoundation, IMDb, YouTube and a raft of other providers, we've got a so much reference material available to us via an internet connection that would leave people of only twenty years ago awestruck.
