Unsticking stuck pages?

    Remove all ads!
    Hubby found one of his old games (Sword of the Samarai) and realized the manual was pasted together along the top. The pages are glossy paper and rock solid stuck. We've been slowly steaming it in the bathroom during our showers, but is there an easier way to get those pages unstuck? How much damage (to either one) would be involved using damp towels around it in a microwave? What about an iron?

    If you're going to put it in your microwave oven, be sure to pull out the staples ;)

    :grr: Hubby just got his sho-gun! He didn't need the stupid manual! Excuse me while I go :smash: :grin:

    The manual doesn't have staples, btw. It's the top half of the book that's all stuck together. You can read and see most of the words/pictures.

    There are sites on the internet that let you download manuals of old games.

    I found one a few months ago, but I can't remember the URL and I seem to forgot to bookmark it.

    How about sliding a scapel blade up from the accesible part? It may take a while but glossy paper should be reasonable resistent to the occasional nick.

    kettle steam would be faster than the shower, and easier. I can't see why a microwave would be in anyway detrimental (if there arn't any staples) but I may be wrong.
