[IMG] I have 2 characters (human Palidin and half-orc fighter) with high constitutions that have only gotten 3 points on their last 2 level ups. The first few levels I went up, they were getting 10+. Plus the HalfOrc has a constitution bonus so I would think it is impossible for him to even get 3. Did I do somethig worng or do I have just god awful luck with my rolls for hit points.

i think once your characters get to a certain level, they gain just 2 or 3 hp a level, otherwise you end the game with over 200hp.

What level are your characters on?

[IMG] I think both are now 13. I know for sure the Fighter is. That is what I kinda figured, but right now, he has 117 hit points I believe. I think 19 was the highest level for fighter so over 200 hit points would probably happen I guess. So I guess I wasted my time getting a 19 constitution and Half-Orc for the bonus?

for your half orc i would/nt have anything less than 19, because he gets alot of bonus hp, up until the level where you get only 2 or 3 hp per level.

[IMG] And with a constitution 19, you can really drink a lot of beer before you get intoxicated! :D
    I need some strong dwarven-ale!

With a high Con., you also have better savingthrows vs. Paralyze/Poison/Death, Rod/Staff/Wand and Spells.
Don't know if it counts for all races, though.

I know what you mean, first time I played BG2 I thought it was a bug, because I was used to the 14 hitpoint level ups in BG1. I actually downloaded the patch, before realizing it wasn't a bug, so it wasn't a total lose.

  7. Trust me, getting 2s or 3s past a few level ups is only natural. If you're playing on normal/novice, then you should get 12 or so HP the first one or two level ups, then it goes a fixed amount of 2 or 3 from there.

    Hope I helped you.

IIRC, level 10 is the cut-off for getting a varied amount of hitpoints. After that it's 3 for fighter types, 2 for clerics/druids, 1 for mages, etc.

[IMG] Warriors and Priests get 9 full Hit Dice.
That means after level 9 they only get additional HP's and not another HD.

Mages and Rogues get 10 full Hit Dice.
That means after level 10 they only get additional HP's and not another HD.
