Today, or actually, yesterday the 4th of may, as it is 1AM right now, is "doden herdenkingsdag" in the Netherlands. It's a day we stand still to think about all the lives lost in and fighting for our freedom during worldwar2. As always, this means WW2 themed movies are on, and as usual, I watched Saving Private Ryan. Now, I hardly ever cry during movies, but just now I had tears rolling down my cheeks as the movie ended.

I'd just like to say... Thanks. For all the people who've put their lives on the line to fight for others freedom. Who put themselves at risk so they may ensure the safety of others. Not just the fallen and the survivors of the troops who went to fight in WW2, but also the people who still fight for others today. It is thanks to people like that, that I am able to live my life as it is. I hope that my life is worth the lives sacrificed to ensure our freedom.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

I guess this is one of the single threads that I may actually be with the majority of the SP-ers, not against. :D
