Icewind Dale has a brilliant soundtrack. I also liked the music in The Dig, Warcraft 2 and Vampire TM:R. Most Square Soft games had a very good soundtrack too.

I like the soundtrack to Heroes 2 so much, I would buy the game again just to listen to the music! (Currently the CD is maimed by being in the wrong place at the wrong time).

 

I'm gonna post my two cents in here, even though most of the game scores that I love have already been posted, so I'm just gonna mention my favorite tracks on said games!
Let's see, Final Fantasy 7, of course, ranks as the highest and best game tracks to have even been made. To this day, every time I hear Aeris' theme music, a tear comes to my eye. Plus. there's a series of games that I'm now playing called the .Hack series, and the music on there is excellent!

- Kung Fu Master.
- Double Dragon.
- Moon Patrol.
- Mr Do!.

PC Games:
- China Battle song in C&C Generals Zero Hour.
- Neverwinter's nights.
- BG2, the song when you are outside Nalia's castle.
- Any of the Warcraft series, the songs in the movies
- Descent.
- Full Throttle.

 

Medieval: Total War
Final Fantasy games
Railroad Tycoon 2
Civilization III Conquests
Gothic II
Fallout I, II and Tactics.
Heroes of Might and Magic II - IV
Call of Duty and Medal of Honor

Medieval: Total War is my favourite for a single game but pales to Square's catchy tunes. Total War boasts brilliant battle music, especially for the Catholic factions.

 

Tetris, Tetris, Tetris! It may have become a little annoying after awhile, and not the most innovative, but I think no one here can say that at somepoint or another they didn't get one of those damn songs stuck in their head for days. Yummy russian techno midi LOL

I tabbed out the Diablo "Town" (Tristram) theme last night on Powertab. I can post it if anyone wants to learn it. Awesome guitar piece.

Planescape: Torment (almost everything)
Some of the pieces from Icewind Dale 2 (especially the Targos Docks theme)
Ultima IX (beautiful music, shame about the game)

BG2 - during the romances hehe
all the FF games, particularly FFX and FFVII
Guilty Gear 1
Gran Turismo
Max Payne 2

 

I can only remember the theme song of BG2: Throne of Bhaal. It's very epic. The FFVII and FFVII score, thinking better almost all of Squaresoft games (Chrono Trigger anyone?). Does anyone remember the game UFO: Enemy Unknown? I've always liked the music (if i can call it that) in the missions.
And many others i can't remember now.

 

Aside from RPG games mentioned in the thread (PS, BG2, IWD2, Morrowind, DS, etc.), I like music from

- Soul Calibur (1, 2 is not that good)
- Zelda: OoT (TWW is not that good)
- FFV (as in Final Fantasy 5)
- Sonic Adventure series (rock, but still enjoyable)
- Jet Set Radio (idiotic, but cool nontheless )

 

The Dig (LucasArts). Very underrated game, great gameplay, amazing music, and a crappy ending

Ultima Underworld I (great game, great music)

Might and Magic 5 (and 6... and 7...)

Can't think of anything more recent that hasn't already been mentionned.
