If you ask about saved games, those are in BG2 subolders save and mpsave.

If you ask about characters, they are in the BG2 subfolder Characters

If you ask about custom portaits, they are in the BG2 subfolder Portraits

Well, 8people in the override folder are all the things (mainly spells, items and 2da files) that didn't manage to go in the .bif files of the game. Most of the mods change things in the:
    override folder
    chitin.key
    dialog.tlk

that means that if he backed up the override folder he should back the chitin.key and dialog.tlk too (if any mods are installed). That is almost the installation of the whole game (except the areas and the movies).

On the other hand if he has created some items with IEEP he should have placed it in the override folder, and if he hasn't backed up them yet, he just shall copy the files he created, and then put them in the override folder after a clean BG2 install.

A bit off topic, but still...

There is a n alternative to FDisk - Partition magic 7.0. You can resize, reformat partitions and drives without having to mov the information.

    Very very sweet application.

[IMG] partition magic works great and aslong as it is ver 6 or 7 it will work on all versions of windows :D
ver 5 and lower only work on win 95 or 98 though i believe
although even though the chance of losing data with partition magic is low it's still a good idea to backup importent data
