[IMG] I totally give up on this game! Here's the latest annoying glitch I've found:

Meleny died during a fight in the moathouse on the IRONMAN setting. After the fight, I cast raise dead from a scroll. Although revived, she did not rejoin my party.

I spoke to her and it gave no option for her to rejoin my party, only to escort her back to Hommlet. Amazingly enough, she stills doesn't rejoin my group, AND she doesn't return to Hommlet. Hoping Meleny would be at Filiken's house, I went there.

Filiken accused me of killing her, and went hostile. After the battle, my paladin fell. So...Yet another IRONMAN game wasted because this game is all bugged up! Thanks again Atari!

This craptacular game is totally unplayable...Nothing works, everything is bugged, and it ruins the game!!! I've started 5 Ironman games and each one has ended because of a bug or glitch that has ruined it.

A word of advice to anyone thinking about buying it: WAIT FOR THE PATCH...AND WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR THE PATCH SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES THE PLAYABILITY OF THIS GAME!!!!!!!!

Save your money for something better.

God.... Bel.... ENOUGH!!! We get your point,...YOU HATE THE GAME...but I'm sick of hearing the rant....and, in my opinion, it's certainly not worth new posts every time you need to vent.

[IMG] Well, if your translation of my rants makes you think I hate the game, you'd be wrong. I like the game, I think it could be great...It's just the overall bugginess and lack of attention to detail that urks me!

And what is sadder is that this piss poor quality offering is acceptable to so many people!!!! I guess my problem stems from working in a highly customer sensitive industry. If you don't make your Customers happy, you lose them. I guess most game developers have such little regard for their end users, they feel they can just put out a game that is only 75% finished and that'll be enough.

All I'm saying is I shouldn't have to "live" with the bugs. Having "almost" everything in the game work is not acceptable to me. I find it amazing that people that shelled out as much as $50.00 for this game are willing to accept it in its current condition. I guess I'm also mad because I don't remember BG/BG2/IWD/IWD2 or even NWN being this buggy.

Yes, I am not happy with this game in its current form. But I have said all along that when the MANY kinks are worked out, this could be a great game!!

I have an idea. Instead of making individual rant posts, why not create one and stick it to the top of the forum? "Bel's Rants"! That way you can just keep adding to it! :D (More efficient that way. ;) )

Seriously, I think everybody realizes by now that the game isn't finished. But...I'm still playing it and having some fun. The graphics alone are worth it. Aside from the magical items issue, I've found 2 freeze-type bugs in combat so far (in regular mode), but neither of them have been show-stoppers. I'll finish this run through and then go back and play it again when it's been fixed.

You may not remember the infinity games as being horribly buggy, but the fact is, they were. Heck, there is still a long list of bugs in BG2 that are only fixed in fan patches.

You seem to be having a particularly bad time with this game. M ironman party is 8th lvl and rampaging around the lower levels of the Temple. The game locked up on me once and the save/quit menu buttons are mislabeled. Beyond that, I haven't encountered much in the way of bugs:

    1) I can't seem to get the wand of chain lightning to actually work. The one time I was actually able to get it to go off, my game crashed.

    2) My summoned things like elementals and spiritual weapons are subject to Stinking Cloud.

The game is certainly buggy and unfinished. However, that doesn't mean that folks are having a bad time or accepting substandard goods. To be perfectly honest, I had much more bug trouble with BG2 than I have with ToEE, though BG2 was a more "Finished" game on an objective level.

    Bel, I feel your pain.

I like this game to. I don't want to bash it, but come on!

I didn't really encounter any really BIG bugs until I got about level 9...then I had a GAME ENDING bug, and I decided to throw in the towel. I wasn't playing in Iron Man, but the bug was so bad that I couldn't over come it. I hope the same thing doesn't happen to y'all.

I guess what pisses me off the most about this game is that it isn't NEARLY as good as it could have been.

Maybe the BG series DID spoil me.
