Wow. I was thinking of starting a thread like this, and lo and behold, it already existed

Ironically, of all the Old Guard I'm probably the one who's turned into the Resident Humbug that keeps talking about the good ole' days :geezer:

What happened to everyone else? I think they were swallowed up by that fearsome demon known as RL, or lost interest when everybody else they were familiar with vanished. I was MIA for about two years for both those suggested reasons...

Yes, Nakia, you are getting younger every day!

Heh, I've been meaning to ask this question for close to a year now and just kept forgetting to do so until I noticed a couple old names in the recent visitors list.

Oh really? You mean people we haven't seen around for a while, or people who never went away? ;) Think there's any chance we'll see a Grand Reunion anytime soon?

    Hey, cool! they're still here.

The dragon that smelled like blood and brimstone disguised herself as a sweet, serene being we only dream of. Don't fall for her tricks, lads! She's a man-eater. Literally! :p

And I thought the GophyBoy would have been lost in a Semi-Real fantasyworld of coded illusions that many call Internet. I'd sworn he'd be a deity with his own Creation Domain.
    /me waves back. :)

I've noticed the same thing. Where do we look for join date? In our profiles? I'm older than dirt, but got stuck with dialup for the 'Net until recently, so that made a lot of messaging on the forums a bit sluggish to endure.

OK, I looked in the profile. 2003. I would've thought it was long before that. But I just don't remember stuff as well any more, and that's not joking in this case. It really galls me because I once could be so proud of having an excellent memory!

I originally joined same time as Ara, we were gibberlings together :p I used to see Ragusa posting a lot in those days too. All that halfling paladin gibberish. Madness! :D

But I stopped posting/playing games for a long time (read: discovered girls ;) ) then when I decided to start posting games/playing again, I came back with this new handle.

I don't know how I ever thought a name like R'syil could sound Elven :| <sigh> my poor wasted 500 posts under that name :p

    ah, a 2001er here :p
