[IMG] I'm reading Ender's Game now and it is awesome. Is the rest of the series is good as this? Or should I just stop now while it's really good and not pick up the rest?

I've read the second book, speaker of the dead. It's been good too. Then I wanted to have the third installation, but it wasn't available, to be more exact, out of print in the language I wanted to read it in. So I did not look any further for it. To me it seems that being out of print isn't the best augury for a sequel of two commercially succesful predecessors. So I let it be.

The rest of teh Ender series isnt at all like teh first book. It is a bunch of metaphysical philosophical mumbo jumbo. Cant say that they arent worth reading but they are nothing like the first book. If you want more stuff similar to "Ender's Game" go pick up "Ender's Shadow" and the book in that series. Its about Bean one of the boys in Ender's cadre and is to some extent Ender's Game all over again which isnt really a bad thing.

    Yeah, Bean is cool.

The rest of the series still stars Ender as the lead doesn't it? But it's not as good?

Thanks Joaq, will pick it up right away. But which book do you mean after I get after Ender's Shadow? iirc, the choices are: speaker for the dead, xenocide, shadow puppets and shadow of the hegemon

Spaeker for the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind continue Ender's Story into the future I enjoyed them but as Joaquin said they are different from the first book.

Ender's Shadow and the other shadow books are about characters in Ender's Game from their perspective. Ender's Shadow is the only one I've read abnd is from Bean's perspective and does give greater depth to Ender's Story.

They are a bit more "superficial" but very entertaining reads. They all have something about "shadow" in the title.
