I went over my friends house, we did our usual multiplayer rampage. Anyway, I was duelling my mates bro, and my friend decided to flick through a magasine.

Anyway, I quickly looked at what he was reading, and I saw a tiny, tiny picture, slightly bigger than a postal stamp, of Thief 3.

I was simply overjoyed to see some evidence of one of my most favourite games being advanced. I had heard the rumours, read some stuff on the internet, and head about it before, but I had never seen "Physical proof"

It made my day...pointless, I know, but it was so cool to see it still in the works.

Anyone else had this happen about a game before?

Oh yes. Fallout 3. That would really make my life. I hope the dolts who screwed up Arcanum and Star Trek: Away Team won't do a mistake with Lionheart.

[IMG] Seeing graphics for B&W2 and clinging to the faint glimmer of hope I may be able to revive BG2.

Also I may get to have go on the demo of Impossible Creatures... IIRC

I just played through Maw of Chaos, not but 30 minutes ago.

Thief: The Dark Project seriously rocked. The undead levels just weren't much fun, at all. But I cheated like a mad dog, and they became quite a bit better. Basically, when you find a *single* fire arrow, it gives you 500. ;)

The Lost City level was plain awesome. Rameriez and Bafford were very good, as well. And the Hammerite one, where you have to steal the talismans.

Thief 2 had a few neat parts in it, but the "watchers" just got old. Sneaking into the vault to get the tapes and planting the evidence were two of the best. Escaping the ambush was a close runner up.

It really depends on what they are doing with Thief 3. Personally, I thought Thief 2 drew entirely too heavy from Thief 1. They need to come up with an *original* story, and put one single thing in there that ties it into the past ones.

It could just be a book, in the game, that has two pages; one for thief1, and one for thief2.

Not that i want to turn this thread into a thief discussion, but i agree, thief 2 is very much thief 1 with different missions. It could have just been an expansion pack to be fair.

What made my day that other day was seeing Jedi Outcast in the sale at Game, which dropped it just into my price range (i refuse to pay too much for a video game, no matter how much i want it :money: ).

When I saw a pictures of Halo 2, I was overjoyed, I kept going back to the magazine to google over the graphics. I can't wait for that game to come out!

A year or two ago, I was reading a gaming mag and saw that Black Isle was coming out with a sequel to Baldur's Gate, my favorite PC game at the time. And the screenshots and review were pretty enthusiastic, so that Christmas, my parents got it for me. And I've been thanking them ever since.
