Ok, how do you start a HoF game. I know this sounds simple, but I just can't find it. I'm sure it's something really obvious I'm missing, but I'm still missing it.

    Thanks for the help.

Run the Icewind Dale 2 configuration program and check the Heart of Fury checkbox at the Difficulty section under the General tab. :D and prepare to be whacked by the goblins.

Since you didn't know about this, I'm going to assume you're fairly new to computer D&D.

Heart of Fury will seriously frustrate you. I'm not telling you how to play you game. But I would strongly suggest you mess around for a while on either the easy or the normal difficultly. Get all of your people to level 5 or so. On normal, that will happen by the time to make it to the dam.

Then, export them. And import them into a Heart of Fury game.

Starting a HoF game with all level 1 characters can be done; but it is wicked kind of tough. And even level 5 characters will have a real struggle for them. I'm just saying that a level 1 party will, more often than not, spend their money on raise dead than they will weapons and potions.

[IMG] Instead of having 6 level 5's to get whacked by the Goby's in Targos.. Here's a suggestion.. Get a level 10< or so cleric, and then have the other characters sort of low level.. [5>]

This way you have a person to do some heavey healing, and perhaps some descent equip. The difficulty of the Game, Unless i am mistaken.. Which is Quite possible..

Is supposed to be based on the cumulative [or Average] Level of your party.. That way the game matches your skill.. So by having One high level char, and a few weaklings.. You can sort of Trick the computer into making the game Easier for your high level.. And the softies get more XP.
