I did some multiplayer with a friend before. it rocked! It's cool becuase in IWDII, it is much more easy to go through with limited characters <i.e 2 or 3>. Thus, each player can use one character, no micromanaging 3 different spellcasters, no running one character and replacing him with another. It's great! I'd be up for some if you are. Last time I did it it was with one other guy, so having some more people along for the ride would be cool. You wanna use mods? Or shall we go for vannilla stuff? If anyone here can give me and Alfie some advice, I would appreciate it.

How do you handle pausing? Every player that joins in has the ability to pause and unpause the game so that might get really messy.

We were working under the idea that it becomes cheesy if you pause in order to set up every damn spell. Unless we desparately needed healing or something <no healer meant we needed potions, so we needed it paused to allow us to chuck them over to each other>, we gennerally kept it to the minimum pausing. Cmon, we were 2 fighters. We didnt need to much pausing <apart from rewinding the battle window to see who got what kill of course :) >

Well, in that case I am incredibly cheesy. I'm a real pause-freak. :)

I don't think it's that cheesy though, because I don't think this game should be about how fast you can click all the icons and that's what it comes down to if you're not pausing.
