I can not remember the name, but there was a +5 axe in HoF, which slows the victim %50 chance or makes them flee %50. The big bonus is...there is NO saving throw! This is one nasty weapon! One hit, the creature is panicked, turns to flee! One hit again, and it is slowed down to a crawl! Imagine a slowed and panicked opponent, who tries to run away but can't! A perfect target! What is more important, the critter can NOT attack you and damage you heavily! This weapon is uber powerful and ONLY with this weapon a melee-oriented character can ever hope to survive in HoF!

My fighter was able to beat nasty critters in HoF with ''perfect'' health! This must be good!

Only, what was the weapon's name? Did you know that? It is overpowerful IMHO!

It's called Coward's Flight and is a random drop with any one of two charecters in the Fields of Slaughter. Which means that not all will get it.
In Normal mode it has a 50% chance v/s Will save for the same effects.

Coward's flight is an excellent weapon!

But my favourite weapons are black blade of disaster, and was it 'magical sword' or somesuch, you know, the one with the ranged attack...

Ok, they're spells, but since you're a wizard, you'll get them eventually, and if you'll go for that ranger, you can dual wield another weapon with those spells, as you probably know.

Then there was this throwing axe, was it Screaming Axe, that shouted 'Incoming!', when thrown and 'Gotcha!', when it hit. That was a pretty decent weapon, and funny too -for a while.

You can dual wield with a spell? Really?

Black Blade of Disaster was not ranged. Mordeken's Sword is though

Yep, it was that Mordekainen's Sword.

Had my halfling wizard wielding The Heart of... in his offhand and casting Mordekainen's sword. This kept him safely out of harm's way and doing a ton of damage.

Buff the caster with haste on top of that and voila, you have a killer!

Since my tank is good and will be going with a 2 handed weapon, and my Battleguard has Axes covered, I guess I'll specialize in greatsword, unless I'll be better off dualweilding. (?)
