Funny how there are two of these polls.

Plus about a dozen more threads on the same topic.

^Was there any particular reason for ressurecting this thread? :p

Well, polls are fun, and one's favourite domain can change from time to time, right? :)

I agree with JT and Silverstar. After all...

38% voting for Battleguard of Tempus?

Blech! I must be on the wrong site.
I pray to all Tempus followers - try a different order!
I personally prefer the Demarch of Mask.

    ...from the "other" topic.

I fool around with Talos, Lathander, and sometimes Tempus. But I find that having only one of each level of the special domain spells available at any given time is kind of a drag. They can be useful in a pinch but you can't base a lot of strategy on them unless you rest a lot. So I can't say I've settled on any particular order, and I do keep starting over with different possibilities.

I do very much like the 3E recognition that clerics could use all kinds of weapons. That makes for a far more interesting game, especially if you put a level or two into a fighter class and get the basic proficiency in everything.

When people debate 2e vs. 3e, there are a few points that to me are simply undebatable...

The ability of any character to use any weapon is a MAJOR thumbs up for 3e. (Also, the ability of any race to be of any class is another major thumbs up for 3e.)

I always felt that the weapon limitations in 2e were just plain ridiculous.

For a fighting cleric I would definitely go with Tempus, but for healing and defensive magic I think Lathander is best.
