    Is ALFA still around? I've gotten the bug lately, but can't find the website any more. (I'd have to re-buy the software, re-apply and re-do my schedule too).

    But honestly, it'll be fairly quiet for another few monhts, until the next set of elections pop up again. Then you take a few week vacation for the forums!

    Hmm... I haven't ALFAed in a while... not since my char died and I went off in a sulk :p

    Well, with eight weeks of nothing (unless I get a job!) I could download all the new haks and start another character. We'll just have to see :)

    ALFA is a great time! Especially if there are DMs on the server! I haven't been on in months, real life has kept me away. I miss it though - a lot of fun and I've made some good online friends!!

    If you have a chance, you should join. Joining is easier than ever. There is an application server where you can "tryout." If they like your role play there - You're in!

    I can only play sparingly, but I'd be more than willing to try ALFA. I haven't tried many other persistent worlds, so I don't know if I'd qualify... but I'll give it a go.

    The only thing it takes to 'qualiy', Colthrun, is to be willing to Roleplay, and roleplay well. As long as you aren't planning to shoot up levels at rapid rates, fight with +5 Vorpal Swords, or spend 24/7 smashing the same orc tribe to peices, then you'll fit in perfectly :)

    Only just noticed this topic. I've heard about ALFA and i'm looking to join but haven't really got around to putting together a worthy character or putting enough hours into the OAS. If anyone knows of a quicker way i'd be thankful.

    Slow progression sounds fine, it allows you to get used to your new skills... and vorpal swords are evil, anyway :p
