Which spells do you put in your Sequencers/Spell Triggers?

    I was curious as to what type of spell triggers everyone is using. Here are mine:

    Minor Spell Sequencer:
    - Magic Missile
    - Magic Missile

    (I have like 12 missiles at high levels)

    Spell Sequencer:
    - Stoneskin
    - Mirror Image
    - Fireshield

    Spell Trigger:
    - True Sight
    - Spell Deflection
    - Death Spell

    Interested to hear what anyone else uses.

    Bah...

    My sorcerer, when he uses the Sequencer scroll, casts 3 Simulacrums. Now THAT'S powerful spell :)

    I had 3 fireballs set with my spell sequester, wow not much was still standing after that flew!!

    The combination I use the most for my character (Dual cleric(7)/mage) is doom and ray of enfeeblement. Nothing like seeing that big and mean fighter turn into a statue when hes too week to lift his armor.

    Essentially you cast the spell Sequencer, which will cast several spells on a target of you choice when you want to, all of them without any casting times. So when I put three Simulacrum spells into the sequencer, then triggered it, three elf sorcerers at 60% of my level, with all the spells I had at that time, appeared around me.

    I used web, chaos, cloudkill. Its a deadly combination.

    Also, the multiple use of magic missle is good. Talk about fast damage.

    Two lower magic resistances...and spook...
    or two greater mals and spook

    spook is -6 save at high level so that makes the save -14 I believe...works like magic..(laugh)

    the eight level sequencer (spell trigger?)
    2x secret word
    1x breach

    minor sequencer
    2x magic missile

    in the final battle, if you have edwin, you could use a chain contingency scroll and have him cast 3x Abi dalzim horrid wiltin (now, that's alot of damage)

    mine vary, but mostly their magic missle and fireball. when i get three characters that can cast mage spells and they all sequence 3 missles, letting rip at some of those high MR bad guys does some heavy damage, cause at least some of those missles get through (3 spells x 3 mages x 5 missles=45 chances)

    I have one with dispels (Dispel, Pierce Shield, Breach or something) one to damage 1 person (magic missiles) one with spell protections and one to do damage to a group (death fog, fireball, fireball) (got 2 mages)

    The combat situation varies my choice, there is no constant choice to make.

    At the beginning of the battle my mage's contingency works automatically, giving my mage time to store the spells within the spell trigger then fire them out.

    As I said before, the standing of the battle measures the spell choice.

    i only use minor spell sequencer and spell sequencer coz Contingency is just too much of a hassle..

    Minor Spell Sequencer
    2 Magic Arrows - thats a lot of damage if u arehigh leveled

    Spell Sequencer (the circle one)
    2 web and that green gas spell that makes u faint

    or

    3 fireballs...

    Nalia carries the web one so i can stun all the Tanovas i meet in the dungeons and on Brynnlaw... then I make bbq meat outta them

    I don't know about putting magic missiles in minor seq. I find that acid arrow does more damage, albeit over time, and chromatic orb is considerably more useful.

    Just give 3 spell casters minor seq. with 2 chromatic orbs each, and that's 6 saves vs. death. Work really well, a lot better than just dealing the damage of magic missiles.

    To "The Deviant Mage" How do You get 3 simulacrums to work at the same time. All I get when trying to make more than one is: "spell cancelled. A Simulacrum is already in use".

    [​IMG] I like these combinations:
    - MSS: 2x Magic Missile.
    - Spell Sequencer: Greater Malison + Web + Ice Storm.
    - Spell Trigger: Greater Malison + Death Fog + Chaos.

    In this way they are good for many different encounters.
    A triple Fireball for example is of no use against fire resistant creatures and generally far from the best choice in any case. A simple triple Skull Trap would be a better choice.

    What do you mean by that? Twelve Magic Missile spells or twelve missiles from the Minor Spell Sequencer?

    #1. At level 17 you can have five 1st level spells memorized (or 6 if you are a specialist mage).
    #2. Each MM can have no more than 5 missiles each.

    Either I missed something or your statement was an honest mistake or it was just BS from your part.

    Apart from that I think you made good choices! :)
