For the Roleplay Regulars, what do you like best:
Urban adventures, city based and politics.
Wilderness adventures in the great outdoors.
Classic dungeon crawls, hack, slay and traps.
Interacting with other players in taverns and round the campfire.

Well i have to say i do like the interacting bit. Around the campfire or maybe just in a bar or tavern. They can become quite interesting, and also may be a start to a larger skirmish, who knows.
I also like Urban adventures, along with the politics.

[IMG] I think its best when it is mixed to be honest. A bit of everythign really allows it to come to life.

But if i had to choose a certain scenario... it would have to be in a situation where we are working for a low level (i.e. lvl 4) employer ... i don't know ... its just amazing! In my p n' p game, we're playing birth right but we're playing as the employees of a regent instead ... It offers new dimensions! Good stuff!

  4. Me? I can't help but like when I'm in dungeons about to kill something. I don't mind being in cities talking to people. Politics don't interest me.

I like the great outdoors. I like picturing the group traveling over open plains, then to rolling hill, up into a ruin. I enjoy the dungeon scenarios, but getting there is the best part. Walking through the woods, wondering what is in that next glade, wondering if you are the only human, elf, dwarf, etc... to set foot there...then having plenty of room to run!!!

    I don't like the cities...

I like a bit of everything, I prefer city settings with high-life politics or conflict solving.

Dungeons are cool too, and player interaction of course. And puzzles! I love puzzles, hehe

    Here's my preference:
    50% Classic dungeon crawl.
    20% Wilderness
    20% Interacting with other characters
    10% politics

In short a mix with emphasis on dungeon crawl.

Character interaction, politics/puzzle-like things (which are dungeons, I guess..), great outdoors. In that order.

Edited due to giving it more thought.

I think it's a bit early for me to say at the moment, but I lean towards character interaction and urban-type scenarios.

Jungle settings with plenty of ancient temples and mysterious beings, and plenty of gold as an incentive. I also like city's sparwling with hundreds of people to interact with.

It depends on the format. I really enjoy the party interaction that takes place on the boards, but during the live session, I want it to be an exploration or combat.

My personal preference would be to have the cities be short-time resupply stops that inturrupt the normal wilderness travel/dungeon crawling....but I'm willing to try anything once.

I for one loathe dungeons, you dont role play in dungeons you roll play imo. I take left 'you see a trap' I try to disarm the trap etc etc booooooring. Character interaction is the best but as I truly enjoy to see my char grow in power and strenght something to get xp is nescessary even though combat is very rarely interesting. I think I would like a sneaky city mission. Hanging out with lowlife infiltrating a guild or something if you have the approptiate character.

**nods head** I agree with Joacqin, dungeons can get boring sometimes, especialy when they tend to go on for ever.
I do like city campaigns, leading your character through an unknown city and interecting with people, and, sometimes, finding a few who are willing to part with their gold for a little job requirement.

I haven't been playing for long, but I prefer more character interaction and wilderness, tha political, urban types.
    Just a personal opinion.
