Boy, been a long time since I posted...
I failed to find an answer on Search, so...
I have TotSC installed on my system, and also BG2:ToB, but it doesn't want to give my character the TotSC xp value it is supposed to. Is there a variable I need to change?

Could you be more specific? How much XP does it give then?

When you import your BG1 TotSC character to BG2 (SoA) and it has more than 161000 XP, it will lower it. I've never imported a BG1 character to Throne of Bhaal though, but I suppose that it should keep all experience points of your character. However, I don't think it gives more XP in this case (to make the character acceptable compared to ToB's difficulty), unlike when you start a new ToB game and it automatically gives you certain XP which means level 17 usually (in case of the druid this is lower of course)

By the way if you have Cheats enabled, you can set your XP anytime by typing CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP(N) where N is the amount of experience points you want to give to the selected character.

I was under the impression that it was supposed to give a new character 161000 xp if I had ToTSC installed. Which I have. However, it only gives a new character 89000 xp, as per the BG1 cap.

Nope. Don't know where you got that idea. If you want higher starting experience, take a character through BG & TOTSC and then import into a new BG2 game. You can also get nifty stat upgrades through magical tomes, then. I'm currently taking a fighter through BG1 & TOTSC with a view to dualling him into a druid near the start of BG2. should end up with a nice Berserker druid with high wisdom etc by the end of it all.

Sounds like a plan. Cavaliers rock my socks too, but I've used them way too many times. Never done BG1 - BG2 before (indeed, never actually finished BG1), but my Berserker/Druid is going to be splendid. I actually kind of like that they give you an incentive of stat buffs and extra xp to play through the original game and expansion first. Makes the whole series feel more like the one humungous game that it really is.
