    Not sure exactly what that error message means, but probably means that the game files have gotten corrupted. Did you just install the game or add any mods, or did this just start happening?

    Honestly it's been a while since I've played it and oddly enough it said "since this is the first time you've played BGII ...." then it had me go to config, i was curious but it had happened before so thought nothing of it... until after I pressed ok and that message came up. I would try and reinstall but it's just.... all the mods I have on it.... it'll take forever just to get them back on.

    Edit= Oh geez... here we go... can somebody give me the link to "manually uninstall bgII" I just uninstalled the f***n thing and when i try to install it it gives me the option of "play" instead

    you could just search your registry for all entries of baldurs gate II, maybe even black isle (in case you dont have other BI games installed) and delete them. after that it should be save to simply delete your bg2 folder.

    By the way, has anyone had problems when you go from Brynnlaw to Spellhold courtyard? My game started to crash there since the last installation... Tried it pure (without mods) but still did not work.
