Use of dog stew in Throne of Bhaal

    The dog stew was useful in BGII. Is there an application for the dog stew in Throne of Bhaal? I have a character in BGII that has saved the dog stew and will take it to TOB. will this distract any umberhulks you find in the TOB game? I am going to find out. Has anyone tried to use the dog stew after the first application of that strategy?

    No, it only works that specific one time in Nalia's Keep. You can dump it, there's no other use for it.

    By the time you hit ToB, Umber Hulks are not an issue -- Sarevok, Minsc or Keldorn with a 2 handed weapon just fly right through those bad boys, and any mage just has to hit them with Abi-Dalzim's or Dragon's breath. It's not worth the storage.

    Actually, why waste an 8th or 9th level spell on them when a measly old 6th level spell, Death Spell, kills them flat out? I used that one spell through every mind flayer/umber hulk zone in the game, as it let me focus on the octopus heads after dispensing with the hired muscle in half a round.

    Until I had done some reading here at these forums, I had not thought of going through the game with one character(solo). I have to believe it can be done, as it seems that others have gone through the game with one character. It does seem to be very challenging to me. Therefore, I am trying to think of ways to "divide and conquer" using the tools at hand - if not the best tool, at least one of them.
