[IMG] Best be sure not to piss off Mae'Var...lol...! Mae'Var and his goons are fun to smack around, even at low levels and no that doesn't include cheap fog of war tactics either. I can think of parties in BG1 that were harder, granted my party in BG1 was around lvl 7 and party fighting Mae'Var around lvl 8 and 9. Now, Renal yeah don't piss him off, but Mae'Var puhlease :p

Actually, Big B, if you piss off Mae'Var before Renal gives you the go-ahead to kill him, that damn invincible Arkanis Gath comes and kills you. I'm sure that's what he's referring to. (-: Once he's out of the Shadow Guild he's a total wuss, you're right.

  3. [IMG] Actually, Big B, what I meant was not to attack him, as Mae'Var and Co. are quite easy. What I meant by 'not pissing him off' is to refuse his tasks enough times so that he turns hostile, Arkanis Gath pops out, and kills you.

    Lord Nocturne:

A multiclass Ranger/cleric, proficient in Hammers, Flails, and Maces (add sling). You could also do this one dual-classed (the earliest you should is lv9, but lv13 is better).

A dual-classed Fighter/Thief (or Kensai-Thief), dualled at level 13, with 3 proficiency points in Katana, 3 in 2-weapon-style, and add longsword as you level up. Or get Katana/Longsword, and Crossbow/Shortbow.

A Bard (a Skald or a Blade kit), proficient in any melee weapon (Halberds/Katanas/2-handed swords) and a ranged weapon (Short- or Cross-bow). Or a Fighter-Mage with similar proficiencies

    I'd take:

    A fighter/thief with range weapon.
A dual classed fighter later cleric with two weapons. (although the dual classing lateron will make the game hard, especially since in the beginning you have no healers)
    and a gnomish specialist mage.

I think this should provide enough strength and diversaty for most situations

[IMG] I'm trying to make the fellowship of the ring-
    (Frodo,Sam,Gandalf,Aragorn,Gimli,Legolas)

The only thing that's stopping me is sound sets. Anyone know of a good place to find some that would fit well for these characters?

I have an idea that has no limit on characters but, I think it would be neat if someone went through the game with 4+ party members and never pausing the game for anything.

[IMG] No pausing now that would make it hard to aim your spells

Looks like sandstorm is posting the same message in multiple threads to me... Just for the spam value? Or was there a point?
