Having trouble with an enemy

    What's the best approach to the part where that creature pretending to be Gorion gets you. It sends these vampiric purple shade thingies after me and they kill me almost instantly. I can't progress further unless I find a way to kill them.

    Well, there's always protection from undead scrolls. I like to run away (with my boots of speed) and pocket plane out. Then do a little pre-bash buffing and return with a vengeance.

    Got any clerics in your party? Memorize sunray to the max and use them over and over again. Do you carry with you the sun-sword from the lich in the bridge district? If so even better. Equip it with a fighter and all your further undead fights will seem A LOT brighter ;)

    A double Sunray blast can take out most of the liches in the game not to mention a couple of shadows.

    Use turn undead, the cleric/paladin ability, or repulse undead the spell. It will give you a chance to take them down one at a time. Most of them will be affected by it.

    Give your main fighter anything that has immunity to level drain. A good fighter with the mace of disruption will kick their butt. Also cast haste on your party. You need all the attacks you can get.

    If you've got Aerie in your party, you could try Timestop then SunRay a few times while under the Timestop.
