Most stuff can be found on this site if you look hard enough, but the third tome is in the alter on the second to top level of Durlag's tower. Be sure to check out the altar first as it's trapped.

    SPOIL***

There are 3 Tomes of Wisdom in the BG1/TOSC releases. As already mentioned, one is in Durlag's Tower (see solutions on this site if you must...).

    One is in Baldur's Gate.
    One is under CandleKeep.

If you are playing a character that can benefit from the Tomes of Wisdom (Cleric, Druid....) then it's worth getting that +3 Wisdom boost. Especially if you have import/export desires for BG2,TOB and NWN. We'll have to see how the ability transfer actually works with NWN but it's still nice to have a 21 WIS.

How... very generous of you. Giving a TOME to an NPC to use? Hmmm. Thought never crossed my mind. If it ever does I'll dismiss it all too quickly. :)

The TOMES are there for your main character. At least that's my unmovable opinion. I can't imagine giving a TOME to an NPC that doesn't get the benefits of the TOME in future series releases. However, your main character does benefit from them when exporting!

BTW, I don't recall for sure of any Mage/Clerics in BG1 -however I think you may look in the Gate area (the area that leads to the city of Baldur's Gate) and you may find one to use. The stats may be better than juicing up Dynaheir with Tomes?? Dont know.
