Hertzdurst (spelled correctly Herzdurst) would mean Heartthirst translated straight although it wont make sense in german right away ;)

If you want to go that line what about 'Herzensbrecher'?

It would usually mean something like breaker of hearts and most would picture a guy leaving lots of crying women behind but if you think of a weapon....

What about Arabwel? Everytime it hacks something, it makes an odd comment in parenthesis or complains about its post count ;)

    Mathetais
(trying to figure out why Arabwel does this, brain hurts)

  4. Die Hand Die Vertlezt.

50 imaginary bonus posts who can figure what that means. (but it's not a particulary good name for a katana, but perhaps an evil weapon  )

How about something in Latin? Can't think of anything at the moment. But there must be some famous swords in Greek or Roman mythology. If i could just remember some.
I hope someone else knows more Latin.
    Euh...
Heh, what about ferrum Sicari, meaning sword of the stealth assasin. Or something like that.

Well, I don't recommend Latin, it's not very suited for fantasy. All military words make you think about armies, not heroes. I once went through a period of insanity and tried to create a text-CRPG in Latin. It really sucked - no decent name.

Greek would be far better, also because it attaches words like German. I suggest "Psykeros" (ie "soul-love", which makes sense if you remember that the Greek considered love nothing more than desire)

I want to know with what tool you made the katana. About the name - try the "Nojica za Nokti". In my language (bulgarian) the translate is very fun and it sounds good.
