[IMG] Hi. I completed the Xzar initiated Quest. I brought back the Bird (allegedly Montaron) to Xzar, who was assassinated by the Bird, who is really an Assassin. In the 'walkthrough', it states that I can return to find Montaron's body on the second floor for 20000 XP. After that, Jaheira is supposedly summoned by the Harpers.

Anyway, I tried to return to the Harper's Base and could not go into the front door. It was locked. I tried picking the lock but it states that "is not a simple lock", etc.

How can I get back into the Harpers Base?

Is there some variable that may have been set when the Assassin talked with my party? I would like to continue along this plot-line, so finding a solution is desirable.

    Thanks in advance!

Just wait!!! This is part of Jaheira's quest. I takes a long time to be done. In this case after a time Jaheira will be called back to the Harper Base and after coming back to your party you'll be called there too. But don't rush with it. Make your time with other missions and wait until everything happens naturally.

The name of the one who will come to Jaheira is Meronia. She will only call her after a few things happen first. Rest ouside the city (try Windspear Hills or Trademeet..but every place will do) and a few bandits should appear to do a few things (I won't tell...just do it and see it for yourself). After that meronia would appear in a few days.
    Good luck!!!

[IMG] I do have Jaheira in the party.

The FAQ said that if you are 'romancing' Jaheira, Meronia will wait before she 'summons' Jaheira. I didn't realize I was 'romancing' Jaheira, but it appears that I was/am.

    Thanks for the help.

I recently done the Xzar queat and when I brought back "Montaron", the assassin turned hostile on me after she killed Xzar. Does anyone know why this is? I was evil alignmnt, would this have contributed?
