    One should be careful in generalizing. :nono: Elves are not only proud of their race, but they are also proud of the particular race of elves they belong to.

    Much like Aragorn is no mere ranger, your "girlfriends" are not just elves. To correct your statement, Jaheira is a half-elf, Viconia is a Drow, and Aerie is an Avariel. It's interesting that not only did they pick the possibly the proudest and most handsome of all the elven races, but that they also picked the most handsome females to represent those races?

    In regards to not being able to become a paladin or a monk or whatever -- so what? Humans have restrictions that demi-humans do not have. The largest restriction is that humans cannot gain experience in two professions. For those stats players, humans can never achieve attributes above 18 without divine intervention (whether by gods or shadowkeeper) or powerful magic. Half-elves may not be able to become paladins or monks, but humans cannot become powerful cleric/mages or fighter/mage/thieves.

    One shouldn't continually dwell on the negatives of a situation. Chances are there are far more positives than one realizes but because the focus is on the negative, everything else becomes skewed.

    I was in Abazigal's lair, just entered the cave with all of the floating eyes when Minsc lets loose with his famous, "Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes!" Perfect timing.

    @Keihdra,
    Good to see another DC-er here.

    This one came up last night:

    While making a rather substantial donation to a church, Nalia chimes in with "How are we helping the less fortunate trudging around in here?" Guess 5000gp wasn't enough for her.

    Well, first time I finished the game, I didn't know that you could pause it. I guess it was a pretty funny moment when I played it threw a second time and pressed space.

    When I first got the game, I didn't realize there was a "rest" button. I went all the way through Irenicus's dungeon without resting once. I found the game to be incredibly difficult (duh!), and was turned off by it for months. I thought it was the worst rpg ever.

    Then one day I tried it again, found the rest button, and fell in love. heh.

    Edwin .... You know the Red Wizard, the one Minsc hates! Well in the middle of the game he starts to slide when he walks!

    I dont know why but he looks like he is on ice or something.... :rolleyes:

    Nalia keeps asking me "How are we helping the less fortunate trudging around down here?" while we are rescuing her keep from the trolls.
