I thought that this might make for an interesting theme for a party but I'm not 100% sure on the people I will be taking. Minsc of course would be a natural choice for an almost insane but quite lost all their marbles just yet (or has he?) and Jan as a Theif and back up mage, I'm not really sure on the rest though some of the possibilities I've thought if are:

Korgan: I'm a bit iffy on him he's definately got a temper and homicidle personality that even a blind person could see, and he seems to be a bit insane in that sense.

Viconia: she's about the only decent cleric besides Anomen, and considering the fact she's a cleric and a Drow I've alway's had the impression she'd fight a Pitfiend with her bare hands if she had to but thats just me.

Haer Dalis: The first time I met him I clearly remember thinking that he was on something, with all his bad poetry and talk about chaos entropy and ravens and stuff, so he'd be a back up fighter/mage.

I'm not sure about the this like I said but so far they are the only other three I could think of to fit the parts.

I was thinking of playing as a CN Jester myself but we're a bit weak in the magic and healing departments so I'm not sure if I should pick a mage type instead since I'm playing tactics it might be too dificult to beat without at least one good mage, but then theres always SK.

So... besides the fact I need to get out and get a life any comments or suggestions?

As it stands, you can have Jan and Haer'D that can cast spells. Okay, not high level, but still plenty of them and certain spells Haer'D will cast at a higher level anyway.

I wouldn't pick a Jester as you already have a bard.

You could take along Edwin (instead of Jan), as he certainly has issues and would make a great choice as well. You could then be a Cleric/Thief (like Tiax) or Swashbuckler/Cleric. Both of these would be great choices.

Alternatively, try a Wild Mage. You would certainly need to be slightly insane to try and master wild magic.

Edwin talks to himself a lot (rather meaningfully at times). Clearly not playing with a full deck.

Take the Jester, casey. Not only will his songs make a sweet difference (I recommend installing the Rogue Rebalancing mod - its the answer to my prayers), but with Tactics (or is it Ascension?) a bard will be able to memorize spells of level 7 & 8. And not too few of them.

Actually, if you take Korgan on Jan's quest, when Jan mention's his love's husband's tendency to child-beating, Korgan shows an extreme dislike towards it. So, Korgan does have SOME semblence of morals.

    I *Twitching eye* Resent that!

I play as a NE wild mage a lot. Tis fun. I gots 19 Int and Con from the first game. Wish has nothing on me.

When you hit ToB, I think Sarevok is an instant addition to that list. Let's see... tried to start a war, delusions of godhood, glowing eyes... yeah, that should fit.

Well, there's Imoen. Considering Spellhold, don't you think she wouldn't remain completely sane even after defeating Bhodi?

She'd cover a bit of mage and thief work. She won't really be some super powerful ultimate, but she covers basic needs, I think.
