Any IE game can be completed quickly if you want to do it that way, just kill everything you come accross without bothering to read the dialogue or understand what you're doing. ToB is not short. And besides, it's the conclusion to the whole BG saga, so any real fan should get it.

Either from Roleplay or from powergaming perspective you have to get it if you liked original game. :D
Roleplay becouse it is the end of saga and you gotta see the end right? ;)
Powerplay becouse you'll be most powerfull in ToB :p

No excuse not to buy it :) :)

It can be done quite quickly the second time thru (you know what to expect), but the first time thru it took me ages and you really need to think and plan for a few of the battles and scenarios, particularly in Watcher's Keep - but the rewards and powerplay items are worth it - it's a very good challenge, as least the first time thru, IMHO. Some very amusing parts too :D

What is the point of the series if you don't have the conclusion?
Its fast paced and you don't spend weeks on one part. If it was harder then it would be frustrating and no fun at all (the first time at least)

Its a wonderful way to end a saga, when I finished it I almost cried because... well, no more demi-god! I need to be snuggled now, where's my bunny wabbit.... I mean it, if you like the series, ToB is a must have.

I refused the power. Heheh... screw being a demi-god. What's the fun of being back-stabbed by plots of other gods? *shrugs* I chose to remain mortal for a few reasons.

ToB is such a powergamer's dream. The Watcher's Keep quest is amazing (and long). If you like dungeons and things that go 'Boo!' (no, not Minsc and Boo) in the night, pick up ToB. That's not the only reason to get it, either. Each character has a personality of their own. If you get attached to the characters through BGI and SoA, then ToB is a _must_. Especially Minsc and Boo and Imoen. Also if you want to continue flirting around with the romancers, yeah, go for it, it gets really funny. There are some really hillarious things that occure in ToB- when I was near the end of the game, Imoen started hitting on Keldorn to get out of a pickpocket. It was very amusing. I'm not making much sense... *shrugs* I suggest getting it.

[IMG] ToB is, as was said previously, a fine conclusion
to a great story, that alone makes it worth buying. Of course; it could had been a bit longer, as every good game should be, and it could have added something new to the original SoA, but those are just small flaws...

    ToB Rocks!

I really enjoyed it, but I never found it a challenge. I read a lot about there being quite a number of difficult battles - I never found one, if you exclude the final fight

I am yet to attempt ToB with the tougher bosses patches, so that might make a difference.

If you have played BG and BGII and enjoyed them both, then you should get ToB. It is an excellent conclusion in my mind. :D

[IMG] ToB is absolutely worth buying!
I don't like the rampant "Monty Haul" effect it brings (+5 and even +6 weapons everywhere), but that on a whole ToB is a brilliant conclusion to the Baldur's Gate saga.

I went through BG1 several times and I'm currently playing through SoA. I bought and installed ToB (though I haven't played it yet)without a second thought just to see the story to its end. It's a roleplay thing I guess.

Earl I agree that compared to PnP, ToB and even SoA are "Monty Haul". But I shudder at the thought of facing a Dragon, Demilich, or Demogorgon without a party-ful of killer items. Yikes! It would be like this... :bang:
