If you were a thief, dualled to a mage, what would your paper doll/character look like when you can use the thief skills again? IIRC, when you change classes, your paper doll changes, so i want to know if it will change back. Im thinking that it would use the thief-look, since they wouldnt want to show a mage wearing leather armour.

I'm pretty sure that the paper doll stays the same as the 1st class. But if you must know for certain, why don't you try it out and tell us of the results. :rolling:

The easy answer, of course, is to look at Nalia's or Imoen's paper doll.

It stays the same as 1st class. But you can always change your paper doll if you cheat.

And for Nalia and Imoen... maybe BIS wanted to make joinable NPCs look different.

I don't think it's possible to have a mage's appearance with a multi-/dualclass character. Unless the other class is also a spellcaster (cleric). That's why I use Shadowkeeper. I always want my multiclass mages to use a mage's appearance. Same applies for npc:s. Imoen, for example, always gets a normal human female mage appearance. For the thief appearance looks lame and hardly ever changes no matter which robes you wear. Besides a fighter/mage does look cool with a black/red Robe of Vecna and double-wielding longswords.

Hehe, sometimes I change my apperance with SK, and I dont consider it cheating since it has no impact on the game other than your enjoyment.

Concerning multi Fighter/Mages I prefer to keep my apperance the same, Elven Chain Mail + dual wielding scimitars makes you look like a true elf.

Forashi, I agree that a mage using Robe of Vecna while dual-vielding looks great, but why use longswords when Katana's are far better?

The two I plan on using (when my mage exceeds my Kensai level) are:

Hindo's Doom +4 (upgraded version): 10% MR ; immune to all Death Magic ; Greater Restoration 1/day.

Dak'kon's Zerth Blade +2: +1 AC ; able to memorize one extra 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th level mage spell.

These two weapons when combined with Robe of Vecna and Amulet of Power grants you alot of MR and makes you nearly invulnerable (when casting protective magics).

Robe of Vecna looks terrible, I can only stand it if I have stoneskin up, which is thankfully 99% of the time :) .

Really wish someone would make a mod to change it back to it's old colors before ToB. Used to look just like a Knaves Robe, now it's this horribly ugly green-purple....Yuck!

[IMG] On a side note, I do believe the paper dolls change in IWDII when you dual-class. I think. Someone tell me that I was hallucinating if I'm wrong.
