I'm wondering to try this class out in PnP, but I'm just wondering if he is any good in combat. I can se the values elsvere(Exept some powers need a whole lot of PSP, feks teleport)

So any experienced Psionicist players got anything to fill me in woith?(If his good in combat, what powers are the most usfull in the start, best diciplin etc, etc)

I'm fairly sure that Psions aren't particulary good at direct combat. Psionics has the possibility to be very powerful (to the point of broken), but it really depends on how it is treated in your campaign. As for disciplines, I will only suggest which you'll have the most fun with; hopefully the DM will suit your needs for whatever particular discipline you've chosen.

    [EDIT: What is PSP?]

The way you play depends on which edition you are playing. I am assuming you are using 2E since you are calling it Psionicist instead of Psion. Is that correct?

I believe PSP's are a pool of points used to use sciences and disicples. I don't really know much about this class besides some stuff I found in skills & powers, though...

From what I remember of 2E, I would play the character as you would a Wizard in the beginning. But later one (say 6th or so level), they can be wildly powerful and then you can play him as a front-line fighter (although a low hit point fighter), or you can stand back and plsy healer or mage or thief with the right selection of powers.

I have always loved playing Psi's, but I stepped away from ths 2E one because they did become so ridicously powerful that it became no fun for me to play them. But if you are a powergamer, then there will be no problem. If you don't want to inadvertingly overshadow the other party memebers, maybe no do it.

But one thing to remember, this is only MY experience and MY opinion.

hehe, Well I must try everything :D

Psi and Wild mage is the two next.

I still play 2e when I can. Like it better, a bit more advaced and more fun. For me anyway. A bit more variation, not everybody gets to be super fighters but have to use their other powers(In 3e, you can take 1 lvl fighter/anger and you have use of all weapons...)
