Nitpick: There is no VIIII, it's IX. Use regular numbers if you find them easier.

OK, let's first off exclude kensai and inquisitor, since those are 2E BG2 kits and not 3E classes.

Here's my order. And Blackmane was right, it's IX.

I: Bards (an option oddly absent on your list)
    II: Fighters
    III: Thieves
    IV: Clerics
    V: Mages
    VI: Monks
    VII: Rangers (another missing option)
    VIII: Sorcerers
    IX: Druids
    X: Paladins
    XI: Barbarians

[IMG] So why do you want it list like an outline? Here is my order for 3E classes.

    I: Clerics
    II: Druids
    III: Rangers
    IV: Paladins
    V: Bards
    VI: Barbarians
    VII: Fighters
    VIII: Rogues
    IX: Mages
    X: Sorcerers
    XI: Monks

Of course with Prestige classes you can have fun with character of any class.

[IMG] Well let me add in my almighty opinion :p

    1. Wizards
    2. Rogues
    3. Rangers
    4. Bards
    5. Druids

The rest, I don't care for much, but every class can be a lot of fun.

Maybe it's because this topic is AD&D, not D&D, and it seems greatly BG-influenced.

Anyway, psionics are neat, although nearly everyone seems to have a problem with the rules, or think that they don't fit a fantasy game. Just check the WotC boards and count all the psionic-bashing topics. If you can find them amongst all the 'i r kill tarrasque' and '<insert class name> sux0rz/rox0rz' topics, that is.

(Ok, so the WotC boards aren't that bad. But with that many eggs in a basket, some are bound to be rotten.)

Well, last time I read the rulebooks there weren't any kits or dualclasses in the game. (There are in the first post of the topic.) But if you in your infinite wisdom know WotC has added official kits and dualclasses back in, then I suppose it isn't AD&D.

    1) Fighter
    2) Monk
    3) Rogue
    4) Barbarian
    5) Ranger
    6) Druid
    7) Cleric
    8) Wizard
    9) Sorcerer
    10)Bard
    11)Paladin.

My preference goes like this: I would always choose a fighting type character above a spellcaster. I have a weakness for the rogue class, though. I'll go for divine spells over arcane, and the cooler, more meticulous wizard over the sorcerer. I can't envision myself as a bard, hence the low ranking. In BG, the class was underpowered anyway.

Well, we just got "Tome and Blood" at our house and so:

    I. Wizard
    II. Sorceror

The Blood Magus! How unbelievably cool -- I would limit it to females, though.

Well... because, for human females, seeing one's own blood is not necessarily a sign of injury, but sometimes quite the reverse: a sign of youth and health. Right?
