Amy here. I never liked my name as a kid but as I got older, I've learned that a simple yet uncommon name is a good thing!

Nutrimat, did you ever see the very early Tim Robbins movie "Erik the Red?"

I've never seen this movie. Is it captioned? I can't watch movies unless they are captioned or subtitled.

My real name is Mike, so orginal I don't know what to do with myself sometimes. There are about 7 other Mikes at the firm I work for. It's very annoying for obvious reasons. So I'm know as 'Ice' around the office. Makes things a little less complicated.

Sorvo's name is Rod. That's sweet. If my name was Rod I'd be a pornstar for sure. :D

joacqin, I didn't think it sounded Scandinavian either, but my mom saw it on TV a few years ago, and it was big burly Norwegian guy. I'd think though, that if it is Scandinavian, it would also be spelt (is that a word? Spelt?) Jouko, or something similar. Perhaps?

Jaap --> it's a typical dutch name, hence Apeman because aap without the J is the dutch word for Monkey or Ape :D

My Real name? It's Michael Andrew but I'm usually addressed as either Mike or Drew. I prefer Drew though, it sounds cooler!

Well mine is a rear one....

Joar, means a (Viking)Warior on a horse. A verry noble name(Horses to ride in combat was verry rare in those times) and was just named to rich and "High-in-ranks" family members....

[IMG] Harri. "Harry", in english. Don´t say anything. If you have seen Clint Eastwood´s "Harry", you know what I mean. That was not, however, the reason why my parents picked up that name...
