[IMG] Ok, I finally completed chapter 7 and enjoyed the final movie and credits. There was a "FINAL SAVE" made. and I ended the game. Now to go on to TOSC, the menu (Mission Pack option) suggests that all I have to do is open the final save and I am magically transported to Ulgoth's Beard. Not so, I am back in the Undercity Temple where I was just before the final battle. Map shows no Ulgoth's Beard available.

What gives? Is my system screwed up? Is this a bug? Or did I miss something? I didn't touch the TOSC sites because I wanted to do them after I finished BG1.

    Any suggestions, my friends?

    Gary

Just noticed that there's even another more frustrating part. The XP levels in the FINAL SAVE are lower than they were in my final pre-battle save, after I'd killed one of the bad guys.

[IMG] No, you're not screwed. Contrary to what the designer's say, you're not teleported to Ulgoth's Beard...you have to walk back above ground, leave the Baldur's Gate and exit the map to the east. Ulgoth's Beard and Durlag's Keep should be available to you to travel to. You'll have fun. I especially liked Durlag's Keep.

Also, the EP cap kicks in on the Final Save...around 157,000 ep, if I recall. You may have accumulated more EP than this, but once you finish the End Game Scenario, the character is saved with "x" ep only.

[IMG] gb7623rv, we prefer that people here don't make double posts but rather edit their original post and add any missing info they come up with later. Just click on the pen&paper icon on top of your original post and edit away.

As for your problem... The identical thing was discussed only a few days ago. (It's always a good idea to check previous posts on the board too...).
