    I usually approach the spell sequencers and spell trigger offensively, leaving contigency for defense. But I have been known to try new things :grin:.

    Lately for sequencers I do a Greater Malison to lower the saving throws and then some of the area effects spells: Horror, Stinking Cloud, Web, Fireball, Slow, Ice Storm, and Teleport Field are some examples that I've tried. But that's just one approach, some people do the web/spider spawn combo and others pile up Magic Missles. Try various things, it's more fun than always sticking to one strategy.

    Definitely play with it to match the situation and to add some spice and variety. I have had lots of fun with three summon spiders in the past. I love walking into a room with a mage hiding behind some fighters and next thing you know the mage is surrounded by 3 to 5 sword spiders...it is rather distracting and disruptive to spell casting

    I like to use them to dispel enemies' protective spells. That way a mage can just click the button and automatically undo the spells that the enemy mages click the button and automatically set up.

    I've had Aerie put three Holy Smites in a spell sequencer before, though, and I must say that dramatically rids the room of villains...

    The "Killer" is the following combination of spells:
    -Greater Malison: to lower the saving throws;
    -Emotion: to make all the enemies lay down and sleep;
    -and Ice Storm, or Cloudkill: to make them suffer, and die:evil:

    I use this combo on many situations, where opponents attack in organised groups:D the majority of these attackers just fall to the ground because of the Emotion, and dies a slowly, but inevitable death.

    Though an offensive sequencer is good it can also be a kick butt defensive spell. Since because of the XP cap you can't cast Chain Contingency it can save you in a tight situation.
