    This thread is SO Darwin that it's not even funny. I myself have a healthy respect for fire, but I did do some crazy things in Japan. I served a 2 year mission for my church there, and at certain benchmarks, we burned certain things. For example, at the 6 month mark you burned a pair of socks, at one year a tie, at 18 months a shirt, and at the end before you went home, you lit up a suit (bear in mind that all of the things that were burned were usually on their last legs.) Well, I didn't have a suit that was ready to go, but I had amassed quite a collection of neckties that were, to put it mildly, absolutely horrendous, both in design and condition. So we soaked 4 of these things with lighter fluid in a Teflon pan that had lost most of its Teflon, and stood on the balcony and lit those babies up!Polyester stinks when it's burned. I'm sure the neighbours must have thought we were "bakatachi", or madmen.
