Final Fantasy 3, man; you CAN NEVER beat that game's music. I have learned how to play nearly every song from that game on my subtopically-mentioned four instruments of earful bliss.

    Ughghdaaghhg...slobber...goooood tunes...

all FF music downloadable here (warning: recommended!!!): http://people.brandeis.edu/~jmark/ffmusic/

I have to agree that the soundtrack of FF3 cannot be beaten. I also rather liked the C&C music, though I only just remembered that in reading this topic. Haven't heard it in ages. BG music is good too, for all of them. Any kind of music that is dark and shadowz like the theif music and such is good too. I must admit I also like to sneak up on people after playing such games.

[IMG] That song that Garnet/Dagger sings in FFIX is a pretty sweet little tune, especially when you finish the game and get to hear it sung with the proper lyrics.

Along with that, I like the music from PS:T, Grandia and the final fantasy games in general.

Actually I do listen to that crappy super mario music once in a while... I downloaded the main theme from super mario 2, played with real instruments by a band called Minibosses.... Pretty cool, when it shows up in my playlist once in a week or so. That game has some pretty awesome basslines.

I don't know if any of you have ever played the game. But my favorite music is from one of the best console rpgs' of all time, Lunar the silver star. The game acually came with a soundtrack cd. with 32 tracks on it. And i love every one.

[IMG] TA has some great classical war-type music. I agree!

FF3 has the best music of the FF series IMHO.

But if any of you have heard the music of Chrono Trigger, all the songs are great! (Frog's Theme being the best for obvious reasons)
