Meaning you could have complete control of time for just ONE "backstep", what would you change?

I should probably mention that this is supposed to be about yourself, so no "stop the meteor that killed dinosaurs" or some crap like that :p

I'd pick me a really big lottery prize that nobody wins, memorize the numbers, and go back and pick them. Greedy, greedy, but what the heck -- no one that I know has died violently or in a way that I could change.

I would try to do something about the poor decisions I occasionally make. Life is not bad, but it could have been better.
Some of the stupid things I did was choosing the wrong study at the university. I could have graduated five years ago, but not much to do about that now... just trying to finish what I'm doing now in the fastest way possible...

    edit: darn typos...

That IS a hard one... if I could, I would possibly stop my family from ever moving to that little village I grew up (mostly) in... it would have saved me from a lot of pain. Or pevented the events that led to that first trip to the psych ward..... or prevented the group home....

I think I'll go with the "never ever left the place where I lived my first 6 years of life"

The only bad thing in that is, that I don't know if I had ever stumbled here? If not,it's not worth it.

[IMG] I'm with dmc on this one...look for a big payoff! Go back to a huge lottery payoff, or back to when Microsoft IPO'd and buy a lot of stock...

Any poor decisions I've made can be rectified with money. It's sad, but true.

Okay, I admit, I could do the payoff as well. :)

Hey, in my case I wouldn't need to go back in time to undo anything major, as I'm the kind of guy who never really gets anything done. (I've never made an important decision in my entire life) :p

I suppose I could go back and leave a post-it note for myself, where I would tell myself to try and think before I speak. It seems I spend a lot of time on damage control, as my big mouth tends to cause all kinds of problems whenever it opens.

I'd probably go to right before the fourth grade started, and smack myself around a bit. I did a buttload of stupid things that year, and believe me, everyone remembers.

Chalk up another vote for the payoff.

Personally, while there are many things in my past that I regret, I believe that I wouldn't be who I am today without everything that's gone on up to now. Since I'm pretty darned happy with my present, I wouldn't want to risk it by mucking about in my past. ;)

[IMG] About the payoff thing; Wouldn't the Great Omnipresent Fairness Police suddenly appear out of nowhere and conveniently find a way to stop you all from using your powers for personal gain? ;) (...or maybe that's a bit too cheesy, I don't know...)

The payoff. Choose a big lottery jackpot and memorize or better yet write the numbers on a piece of paper and go back and finally get what i deserve

or write down the numbers for about 10 consecutive draws and then win more!!

yeah, its cheap (no pun intended), but money can solve most your problems, and i don't care what anybody says, it CAN buy happiness :) .

I would return to when I first saw 'Back to the Future' :p

Seriously, I would make a good choice for a study right after I past my exams in stead of wandering from school to school for 4 years.

I'd go back to feb 14th 2003 and tell myself to not get involved with a girl I met that day. Sure, very romantic, getting to know eachother on valentine's day. Don't even bother, in fact, avoid her like the plague. She's worse for your wellbeing than a running chainsaw to the stomach.

I'm with Rallymama here. I beleive that I'd still be a stupid kid without my bad expieriences. Although if I had to pick, I'd say moving to Calgary was the worst thing to happen to me... ever. A whole bunch of bad **** happend to me the second I moved here.

    1)Lost most of my buds
    2)Parents split up
3)got kicked out of first school
4)got kicked out of second school
5)got good job - working with horrible people
6)one month later - fired from that job
