erm, I may not be an expert on Monty Python, but I am pretty sure only Holy Grail, Meaning of life and the Life of brian are actually python productions.

Yeah I know I stretched it a bit to include Time Bandits and Brazil, they were directed by Terry Gilliam and written by some of the Python team so I thought I might as well include them

That wasn't an easy question. I picked the holy grail, but life of Brian was hilarious too. In fact, they're all great.

[IMG] I picked Holy Grail, by a nose, over Life of Brian. Both are brilliant

Holy Grail and The Meaning of Life are both tied for first in my book, with Life of Brian pulling a close second!

[IMG] Life of brian edges it, but shouldn't Time Bandits not be there? It didn't actually start the Monty Python cast. Thats why I decided not to vote for it, or it would have had a vote :D

Pretty much a two horse race. The other two Python 'films' are only a collection of sketches not proper films at all. The remaining two, as has already been pointed out, are not python films. If you are going to include them for the reasons stated you could then also add: Eric the Viking, Yellow Beard, Jabberwocky, the Adventures of Baron Munchausen, A Fish Called Wanda, it's follow up and Clockwise and probably a few others that people will remind us of.

If you're going to include non-Python movies that Gilliam directed, why not throw in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The Fisher King, and 12 Monkeys? And what about Jabberwocky? I know it looks like it was made on a $100 budget but still...

I voted for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but all of the MP movies are awesome, and I had trouble picking one. Gilliam's movies are all cool too, especially Brazil (the director's cut, the theatrical version sucked).

    [IMG] "I'm not dead!"
"'Ere. He says he's not dead."
    "Yes he is."
    "I'm not!"
    "He isn't"
"He will be soon. He's very ill."
    "I'm getting better"
"You're not. You'll be stone dead in a few moments."
"I can't take him like this. It's against regulations."
"I don't want to go in the cart."

Okay, definitely the Holy Grail. But I think the poll is kinda stilted, cause there's really only two true Python movies. Maybe a new poll is in order...
